James Wilson - CEO, Eliiza 

James is CEO of Melbourne-based AI/ML consultancy Eliiza. 

Having spent the past decade working in digital transformation across financial services, telco, wagering and media, he has seen first-hand the impact of rapid technology and business model change.

James is passionate about the ethical impacts of AI/ML. He is a host of the Australian AI Podcast, interviewing thought leaders in the field of AI ethics, and showcasing Australian businesses that are embracing AI. 

James also co-organises the Responsible AI Australia group which seeks to raise awareness of the ethical risks associated with AI/ML and identify strategies to mitigate.

Tim Miller - Associate Professor in Computer Science, University of Melbourne

Tim is an associate professor in computer science at the University of Melbourne. His research area is human-centred artificial intelligence, and lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, interaction design, and cognitive & social psychology. He specialises in human-agent collaborate problem solving and explainable AI.

Katherine Bailey - Artificial Intelligence Sr Principal at Accenture

Katherine works within Accenture Australia's Artificial Intelligence and Automation Engineering group, where she focuses on Natural Language Processing. Her background is in software engineering and data science and she has over a decade of experience in the tech industry. Katherine speaks and writes regularly on the topic of A.I. and is committed to dispelling the myths and removing the confusion around it, teasing apart the real from the imaginary implications of these technologies, both practical and ethical. She recently moved to Melbourne from the US but is originally from Dublin, Ireland.

Andrew Ethell - Executive Director, Amalgam Strategic & Board Member, Infrastructure Australia

Andrew is the Executive Director of Amalgam Strategic. He was previously a member of the global leadership team and Group Director Corporate Affairs at Toll Group where he was a leader of the global re-brand and One Toll integration program. Prior to that he was senior policy advisor to Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Trade.

Andrew is the former Chairman of the iconic Driver Reviver road safety program and is currently Chairman of the Australia-Asia Young Leaders Program. He was previously Chairman of Vividas, Deputy Chairman of the Australian Logistics Council and Founder and Director of Kan Ying, an Asia Pacific focused management consulting business.
