In this event, our panel will be sharing their insights on how technology is challenging the paradigm of sport:

  • Challenges in innovation - consumer, regulatory, technology
  • Platforms and technology shaping the future

This event is back to the Churchill Club format of inplace networking and live panel discussion.

Meet the Panellists:

  • Joan Norton -  Joan is the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager at Cricket Australia, splitting her time between the Media Rights and Commercial teams with a focus on analytics and insights. Prior to Cricket she was the Program Manager for the HYPE UQ Sportstech Accelerator, a global program working with early to mid-stage startups. Before that she had a career as an equine veterinary specialist working in internal medicine with high performance equine athletes.
 
  • Dylan Smith  - Dylan is the founder of leading AI and ML company Rubix and  co-founder of RedGrid, a utilities blockchain platform , co-founder of 20|30, a Blockchain based consulting company (UK) (ICO Q3 2018), and an advisor to numerous technology startups including; Esports High Performance Centre, Pillar, PigeonHole, LUXICO, GiddyUp, Unscriptd, Connexi, Tility, PayUp & GoFetch.
 
  • John Persico - John is an international leader in Sports Technology and Future of Sports.  He advises governments, sports federations and leading corporates across the world on the sports digital economy, investments and transactions at the intersection of technology in Sports, Health, Media, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Industries. He is board member of the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN), Australia's governing body for sports technology and sports innovation, founded the Australian Sports Technology Conference. He previously worked and studied in investment banking, private equity, law and management consulting.
 
  • Gursharan Chana - Gursh is the director of biomedical science at MX3 Diagnostics, who provide laboratory grade handheld testing devices for monitoring health and fitness. MX3 has been trialled with the Swedish World Cup soccer team, members of the U.S. military, professional sports teams in the U.S., multiple NCAA athletic programs, and individual endurance athletes, helping to understand personal hydration levels and how to optimize this information to improve performance.
